As we fast and pray together tomorrow please consider these things. We are called to preach the gospel, I hope we all believe that. And the Lord Jesus wants those who preach the Word to have the Word in evidence in their lives. I am starting a new series tonight on the little book of Jude. What a magnificent understanding of where we are today in our walk. In this epistle, we learn that false teachers and trouble makers had crept into the church and were leading people astray. Jude used stories about the lack of faith in the children of Israel after all the miracles they had seen in leaving Egypt which resulted in most of them dying and never entering the promised land and the rest that He had promised. And about the depth of the sin of people of Sodom and the horrible results that have left the region barren even today. And Cain and his faithless offering that resulted in murder. And Balaam, who abandoned his position as a prophet for financial gain and last but not least Korah who decided that he wanted the authority of Moses and God had to kill 14,950 people plus the entire families of the three rebellious leaders. We can’t help but understand that God is serious about our faithfulness and our preserving the gift of faith. Let’s join together tomorrow to pray for our spiritual leaders who are assigned the task of seeing that these kind of things do not happen in our congregations today and remember that we are all called to share Jesus. He Is Coming!
