Jeremiah is one of my favorite prophets and sometimes I feel like him as I just keep on harping on the main thing. How many of you know Hoyt Axton? He wrote a song in 1970 called Jeremiah was a bullfrog, made famous by Three Dog Night. He originally wrote the song as Jeremiah was a prophet but the music people made him change to bullfrog as they thought no one would understand. I love the irony as he croaked the same message every day for 40 years and was as irritating as a bullfrog at times. The song comes from the book by the same name and at least the first verse speaks to his life…Jeremiah was a prophet, he was a good friend of mine. He was trying to warn the people of his day of the penalty for their heinous sin. Their society makes us look like Sunday School. He spoke of the coming King and His righteous rule over a repentant people, and that their hearts would be renewed under a New Covenant with the laws written on their hearts. Read a bit of his loving message in chapter 6: 1-16. Entropy is a law that holds that matter tends to a state of progressive disorder without the influence of mitigating factors.
