Prayer and fasting

Well, it seems to be coming whether I like it or not.  I agreed to go to Ireland with my daughter and her husband months ago and Peggy and I are overwhelmed by the details leading up to our flight on Friday.  I had put in my had as coming some day but here it is.  This is a major step out or our comfort zone, please cover us all in your prayers.  We will return on the 18th.  As I prayed about it this morning I was reminded of the many trips made there by Smith Wigglesworth holding revivals.  I went back and tried to reread some of his stories about the awakening in the 1800s there and I am getting even more excited.   There are several among us who are sick and in need of prayer, I was reminded of one of my go-to scriptures about this is Mark chapter 9.  Jesus was teaching and one of the men in the crowd came to Jesus and explained that his son had what sounded like epilepsy and that even the disciples were not able to help him.  Jesus said “O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you?  Or good grief, bring him to me.  The kid fell down in a fit and Jesus said, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”  The father said through tears, “ I believe, help my unbelief!”

I identify with father, I believe but I must need more.  The boy fell down at the removal of the demon and they thought he was dead..,..Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose.  Praise God, let’s focus our prayers on those in physical need tomorrow in our circle as we support each other for their healing.  Thank you and God bless you!
