I was reading yesterday and today two of my favorite teachers; Charles Simpson and Smith Wigglesworth and something they said clicked with my heart and the care I have for the Church. Simpson said, “the church will be moved out of town if we remain passively programmed to mere routine instead of being led and empowered by the dynamic and energizing Holy Spirit. It will happen if we omit the need for repentance before God. It will happen if we remain an audience instead of an army. It will happen if we continue to shift our personal responsibility to some institution, church or government.” Smith Wigglesworth said, “We must be people of the Word, so that people will be able to depend upon our word.” Praise God!
I think I shared with you my latest command to give away Bibles with a challenge to read them every day. I am making my first presentation this Sunday at Whitmarsh Island Baptist Church and am looking for venues where people gather so I can continue to distribute them. Please help me find places to go and if you know a Pastor who would be willing to give 10-12 minutes on Sunday morning let me know that also that I might contact him.
